What is music forge project?music forge project (mfp) is a library of plug-in presets and scores (no samples or copyrighted material). I myself have built this library (if someone wants to give presets for the library, it is much appreciated). The library uses a series of free vst (not included in the installation of the mfp). Wrote/recorded a free orchestral tune at 175-bpm using ableton live 9. Ableton stock plugins used: braskinski, grand pianoezdrummer2 used for percussion sections. Kontact5 used for trumpet, trombone, string, bass sections. Guitarrig5 used for electric guitar elements. -15. 0 lufs integrated. -2. 1 db true peak max. It sure sounds like something you’ve heard a million times before but from what exactly? something classical, maybe something modern? could probably be chopped up into smaller segments.

This sound was created artificially. In general, it consists of four main layers. 1. The sound of noise overboard (created from white noise). 2. The sound of clanking of the inner skin synchronously with the sound of wheels (created from white noise). 3. Metallic noise. Created from the sound of bolts shaken in a metal can. 4. Actually the sound of wheels (created from ten sounds of various metal and percussion). A rather complicated equalization was applied, and filtering in several stages. Also, the sum of the sounds is processed by the convolutional reverb.

This is one of the soundtrack cues that i completed for a psychological thriller, short. . . . . The director cut all music but liked it- it is a good piece for background to smooth out visual and dialogue for a darker genre.
